Who I am
Kintsugi Tech Coaching, run by Aylam Hofstein, 633 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2G4. I am the person responsible for your information. Write to aylamh@gmail.com with any question about it.
What I collect
- Just visiting. This site does not set cookies of its own. The site's host keeps basic technical records of each visit, such as your IP address, to keep the site running and secure. I count visits and clicks with Umami, which uses no cookies.
- The Success Gap Assessment. Your answers stay in your browser tab and are not sent to me or anyone else. Closing the tab normally clears them.
- If you ask for your result by email. Your email address, your name and your answers go to my email tool together, so your result and the experiment email can be written from them.
- The Beyond Success form. Your name, your email address, the cohort you picked (or that you have no date yet) and whether you asked about the retreat.
- If you join a cohort. What you share with me in the workshop, such as your Test Drive, so I can write to you about it.
- If you book a call. You enter your details on Cal.com's page and Cal.com keeps them. I see them too.
- If you write to me. Whatever you send.
Why
To give you what you asked for, to run the workshop, and to send the emails you agreed to. I do not sell your information or give it to anyone to advertise to you. The invitations are my own emails.
Emails
If you opt in from the assessment: your result, a 15-minute experiment the next day, and later invitations to future cohorts. If you use the Beyond Success form: confirmation of your details, your seat or your place on the waitlist, reminders and check-ins, new dates, news of the retreat if you asked about it, and invitations to future cohorts. If you join a cohort: requests for feedback, a testimonial or a referral, and news of 1on1 coaching. Every email has an unsubscribe link. I stop sending when you use it; the law allows me 10 business days at most. After you unsubscribe I keep only your email address, on a do-not-email list, so I do not email you again, and the record of when and how you agreed.
Who sees it
I do. Brevo, the email tool that sends and stores the emails, handles it for me. Brevo is a company based in Paris, France. It keeps your information in the European Union: its database is on Google Cloud in Belgium and its web hosting is with OVH in France and Germany. That is outside Canada, so courts, police and national security bodies there may be able to reach it under local law. When data is deleted, copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. If you write to me at aylamh@gmail.com, your message also passes through Google. If you book a call, Cal.com handles your details. It is a US company and processes them in the United States, so the same applies there. Nobody else has access to the lists. I do not share your information with anyone else for their own purposes.
Referrals and videos
The thank-you for a referral is one 1on1 coaching session of an hour, open for three months from the email that offers it. If you give me a friend's name to claim it, I use it only to confirm they joined. If you send me a video, write to me at any time and I'll stop using it.
How long I keep it
- Your assessment answers: I delete them from my email tool within 60 days after the second email is sent.
- Your email address if you opted in from the assessment: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after your last sign-up if you have not joined a cohort, then deleted.
- Waitlist: the same 12 months.
- Started payment but did not join a cohort: the same 12 months.
- Cohort participants: name, email, cohort and what you share in the workshop, for as long as the cohort runs and 12 months after Part Two.
- After you unsubscribe: only your email address on the do-not-email list, and the record of when and how you agreed.
- Messages you send me: deleted 12 months after the last one.
- A record that you agreed to receive emails (when, and the words you saw): for as long as your email address is kept, including on the do-not-email list.
- Records of the emails I sent you, kept by my email tool: up to 24 months.
